Dean is a third generation woodworker who learned his trade from his father, the late Alfred “Mickey” Richards. Dean would often work with his father on various projects both for themselves and for others, eventually going on to start Dean W. Richards Custom Woodworking in 1988. Since then Dean has been producing the best cabinetry, millwork, and furniture to be found on the North Shore, working with a number of great customers and architects over 30 years to combin tradition and skill to create unparalleled quality in woodworking.
Dean W. Richards Custom Woodworking has remained a family business for years, with Dean working on and off with his brother Dana for years and eventually training his oldest son, Nathan as a woodworker as well.
